For my final project I have chosen option two. At this point, I am still debating whether to chose vampires or werewolves, but I do know what the main topic of my paper is going to be. I chose option two because there are many different stories, authors, and sources to find information about different monsters at present. People seem to be obsessed with the supernatural and paranormal, which has influenced the increase of books about different types of monster. I also chose option two because I am interested in vampires and werewolves and I would like to know more about them.
For this assignment I hope to accomplish a well thought out and well researched paper. I would like my ideas and arguments to be backed up my the texts that I choose to use.I have already put holds on many books through the public library on both werewolves and vampires. And depending on which monster I chose to write about, I have many ideas lined up for my primary texts, and some of them could be used for either vampires or werewolves. I am really looking forward to starting this assignment and finding out more information about the monster that I choose.

I agree many people are so obsessed with the paranormal and supernatural. This will help your paper knowing how this would affect the readers perspective. I think this will be a very interesting paper to write about! Good luck on your paper!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting idea. Do you think if you choose vampires you would use the Twilight series for information? I think that with all the craze about werewolves and vampires I have kind of lost my initial sense of what they really were. It is kind of like the difference between the elves loading Santa's sleigh and the ones in Lord Of the Rings. So different their almost not the same creature. Can't wait to read what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI did not choose to option #2. However, your topic seems like it will be very interesting. I am looking forward to reading your essay. I have never really been into Monsters. Yet, I do know that there are a lot of books out there that involve Monsters of every kind. I am curious to see what you come up with. Good luck! I hope you do very well!
ReplyDeleteI choose number 2 as well I think there is just something cool about monsters. There is a lot of tv shows about vampires and some are actually really weird but neat. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGood choice. I'm going with werewolves. I was thinking that they were not so popular these days like vampires and zombies are, but the more I research the more I realize that werewolves are in the public craze again. I could give a hoot about Twilight. Teen stuff as far as I'm concerned. I didn't know there was a werewolf in it.
ReplyDeleteI have chosen option 1. I did not like reading Frankenstein and for this big of assignment, I feel it would be foolish of me to choose some similar writings. However, I do really enjoy reading these types of novels, and also watching movies about them. I just had a hard time analyzing them. Good luck on your paper!
